lol ok, there is no home computer more powerfull then a ps3!! i dont care what anyone says, google "IBM cell broadband cpu", which is the monster which lurks deep within the ps3, also what that guy said about having a crappy gfx card will make your games look crappy, that is not the end of it, you could have a top of the range gfx card and a crap cpu and the cpu will bottle neck the gfx card, however wot people have said about reolution is correct a pc can out put a much better reolution therefore all textures curves will look rounder, also they have the AA, AF, DRAWDISTANCE sliders to turn to the top (if there pc can handle it) only super computers are more "Powerfull" then a ps3

this link is nothing to do with graphics but shows just how much more powerfull the ps3's cell broadband cpu is, it has 7 cores come on, no pc has seven cores, infact the ps3 has 8 cores but one is reserved

http://gizmodo.com/244528/ps3s-folding-at-home-is-the-cell-proc-30-times-more-powerful-at-folding-than-a-pc

The issue that most people don't think of (and yes, PC graphics are better than console graphics...*any* console's graphics), is resolution.

Most console gamers are sitting 5-10 feet from their 60 inch plasma screen, so the graphics can be slightly pixilated and they will never know.
Most PC gamers are sitting 18 -24 inches from their 20 inch LCD/CRT screen.

For the PC gamer, if the image is pixilated at all, it will look bad, and there will be complaints and refunds for "crappy games"...

Besides, Microslut itself did a side-by-side demo of a game on identical screens a few years ago ("Lost Planet" I believe), and the 360 with the "super duper uber" graphics card (a modified HD 2900[?]) was producing worse images (the curves were more pixilated). The same is true of all consoles. Because you're further away, more of the image processing can happen in your head instead of on the screen (it's called an optical illusion - if it looks curved, you see it as curved).

Good Luck!

Danfour's opinion aside...and to the other two people that thumbed me down...the game Crysis is a perfect example. There is NO console that can run it even on lower settings, and yet even a moderately powerful sub-$ 800 computer can run it on low settings. The ONLY reason Crysis 2 was able to be released into the wilds of the Console Jungle was because of the reduced draw distances the presence of all the buildings in the vicinity engenders. The requirements for the original game can NOT be handled by the GPUs OR CPU solution of the consoles.

There are 4 holes on the backside of the Panasonic TV, which should be currently closed. You will be able to open/pull the hole cover using a coin or a screw driver. Hope this helps.

there is so much that goes into grafics. first off it doesnt matter what game you have if your PC has a shitty graffics card it will look like shit. honestly when it comes down to it the games are made to be enjoyed. stop thinking about how "real" the grass looks, instead ask which platform has the most games with good story lines. im not a huge gamer so grafics are usually at the bottom of my list for buying games. i think more about where i want to play the game, and that my friend, is from the couch.

I like LCD compared to a plasma. Easier to maintain, longer lifespan, and no burn ins.

The first 100 hours that you own a plasma you have to make sure you keep black bars off the screen as that can still cause a burn in of the display. LCD all the way for me.

Unless your room is gi-normous (longer than 25'), you'll be happier with the 42" with a higher resolution. If you know someone with a big screen and hi-def channels from the cable box, have them switch over the cable box to the default setting of 720, then back to the hi-def setting. There is a noticeable difference. Bigger isn't always better when sacrificing screen quality.
