So which HDTV should I buy?
Question by Seb: So which HDTV should I buy?
I want to get a full-HD 1080p TV in a sensible price range. On this TV I would mainly play video games, but also watch movies and the occasional TV programme. So far I’ve been looking on the Panasonic website, not necessarily because they have the best quality TVs, but because their website is very easy to use and also because I notice they have a ‘Game Mode’ on some TVs, and since I mainly play video games this would be ideal for me.
I don’t want to spend more than £600-700, and I want the TV to be at least 36″, preferably 42″ or more. Can anyone recommend any specific TVs?? So far I’ve found the Panasonic TX-P42S20B 42-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 600Hz Plasma TV but as I say I’ve only been looking for Panasonic so far.
Any help would be muc appreciated

The one you mentioned is one of the best in the price bracket for its features. It is however a plasma which means if you are putting it in a room with a lot of light, it will reflect an awful lot although having said that Panasonic have managed to reduce the glare in these new ones.
LCD (or a led lit LCD) will be better in a bright room. This is the best LCD I can find in your price bracket

If you live near or in East Anglia, the company I work for, Hughes are offering the Sony KDLEX703u for £799. A little out of your price bracket I know but it is cheaper than anywhere else at the moment and a stunning tv it is! We have a website:

although the TV I mentioned isn’t on there yet, i’m sure it will be on there soon.
and through here we can deliver to anywhere in the UK.
