Product Description

With Mitsubishi ClearThought technology, digital TV becomes a breeze; equipped with two HDTV tuners, a CableCARD slot, a 250GB digital video recorder (DVR) that stores up to 25 hours of HD programming and TV Guide On Screen. Mitsubishi even adds an ultra-high resolution 1080p Media PC input for the latest generation of HD multimedia applications. All Mitsubishi Digital Cable Ready televisions include NetCommand with IR learning. NetCommand is an on-screen home theater control system that blends control of IEEE 1394 digitally connected products and conventional IR analog connected products into a simple icon-based control system. NetCommand has a library of codes or can learn the IR codes from almost any IR-based analog component. TV Guide On Screen is an easy-to-use 8-day on-screen television program guide. To find a channel, simply press the guide button on the remote control. TV Guide On Screen is subscription-free. To record, just highlight the program listing and press the record button. HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is an uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface. HDMI provides an interface between an audio/video source, such as a set-top box, DVD player, or A/V receiver and an A/V monitor, such as a digital television (DTV), over a single cable. HDMI supports standard, enhanced or high definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.Watch two HDTV programs simultaneously in the Split Screen mode with two HDTV tuners. The second tuner allows the user to watch one HDTV broadcast while recording another(Due to CableCard limitations two cable channels can not be recorded or watched simultaneously). The second tuner has the same ability to receive HDTV signals via antenna or cable. Another benefit of the two-tuner design is that since these TVs have been designed to "watch one channel, while recording another," the TV can be used with other sources as well.

Reviewer: David R. Phillips,
This TV is NOT 1080p. It will not work with a blu ray player or PS 3. Trust me I know. Picture quality from broadcast and DVD is fine. DVR is almost impossible to use. Spend your money elsewhere. Mitsubishi dropped the ball on this one and they know it. It is apparent when you call customer relations.
