** If you plan to use it on a TV that is larger or smaller than it is designed for then be prepared to buy an adapter, also watch out for putting too much weight on this.
** Make sure the bracket is installed 100% level. The built in level helps but make sure when you tighten the screws it doesn't shift. If you install it even slightly off level, the tv will tilt even more when turned.
** Drill pilot holes in the stud. The instructions don't say to do it but you should, I think they were trying to make it look even easier to install. I recommend an 1/8" pilot hole. If you don't drill one the screw heads are likely to strip.
** Use a #3 phillips screwdriver to screw this in. The screw heads strip easy and a #2 is too small for a good grip.
In all, if you have a TV that fits this mount, then I say buy it! This thing is very easy to install and use once you know these tips.
I wanted a swinging mount, not just a regular wall mount, so my first concern after strength was size. I didn't want it to stick out from the wall a lot with that extra arm pushed back up against the wall.
Installation was a breeze. The package includes a stud finder (which I didn't need for my plaster walls) as well as hardware for both wood and plaster wall needs. The backpiece that actually attaches to the wall has a built-in level so you can get it exactly right when marking the drill holes. The brackets for the bolts were strong and snug.
I was able to put the mount on my 19" television to this bracket with ease. It has a selection of different locations for the mounting holes, and mine fit perfectly with the included hardware - nice and strong. Then that piece just slid and clipped onto the wall-mounted piece I had bolted in. There's also a handy little clip where you can tuck the wires so they don't dangle in different directions. It doesn't cover the cords all the way down the wall, but it does start everything off in the right direction.
This mount is nice and strong and never even wobbles with my 19" TV. Both the vertical and horizontal rotations can be tightened or loosened and have a great mobility range. I move mine a lot and it's never come loose. When it is pushed up against the wall, it sticks out just a few inches.
I highly recommend this product if you're looking for quality and an easy installation. If you can drill two holes in your wall, you can do this.
The holes at the back of my Panasonic 32 Inch LCD are spaced about 8 inches apart from each other which makes it a VESA 200mm x 200mm standard. The description on Amazon says it supports 75, 100, 200. But in reality it supports a VESA 200x100 which means one of the adapter plates will line up but the other adapter plate is only 100 mm away and not 200 like it needs to be.
I called their support number and I got someone in the USA right away and they were going to send out an adapter plate that would work with my TV. Great support. However I got a call the next day stating that they can't provide an adapter plate since I am trying to use a 32 inch TV for a mount designed for a 30 inch even though my 32 inch TV weight well below their max specification. They suggested to buy the next model up which supports larger TV's and will support VESA 200x200.
Also like other reviews state, its great that you get a stud finder, and a mount with a built in level. It also looks well made.
If you are not a very handy person like me, you may need to get a drill to drill the two holes in the stud since you can't just screw it in, I tried and nearly injured myself.
There have been some questions regarding the proper height to install this mount, and I would suggest it would depend on the height of your bed and you sitting on it and looking at the wall at eye level, that would be where you should normally have the center of your screen. In my case it was about 62 inches off the ground.
UPDATE: I had a 30 Inch Sharp TV which I used instead to mount on the wall. But then I did not like the way it looked, I guess I like it to be flush to the wall. I may have to buy a recessed mount.
o Great High quality adjustable wall mount!
o All METAL construction except for Plastic turn knobs
o They even include a nifty Battery operated Stud Finder! Nice surprise...
o Didn't need the instructions, The installation is easy to figure out. Mount has a built-in 'bubble level' permanently & securely installed.
o Mount has holes already for installation, to check yours before ordering measure the holes in back of TV. *This mount's attachment bracket has FOUR pre-drilled holes for 3" x 3" x 3" x 3" < OR > 4" x 4" x 4" x 4"
o Nice quality built wall mount, moves easily and adjusts UP & DOWN and stays set firmly with a twist of the knobs.
o The Mount and attached TV can be easily lifted from the wall mount bracket by pushing on the top plastic piece
o Basically the only thing you need is a Drill, and drill bit for pilot holes, and a screw driver < yes good quality Phillips head does the job.>
Highly recommended, real nice quality adjustable wall mount for the price!

Plus it has a built in level and a stud finder was included in box.
I will buy larger Level Mount to mount my JVC 37" in the basement.
